The footage was captured as still, brought in Photoshop where I spend few hours making it to look like its been painted. Then send to After Effects for compositing. Completed probaby in 3-4 days (was in-between other jobs while doing this)

A definately fun project for Astro. They needed something different and playful, thus the concept. Astro marketing nearly use the van in this promo for their print materials but the bosses think thats too much playfull there..

Influenced by the interface design from Oblivion and thought I can make something similar. But didn't invest too much time on it due to other
work commitments so I left it much simpler and elements a bit
repeatative than I planned.

The NFL wasn't much a big thing in Malaysia but my Canadian boss, Rob Midleton wanted it to look cool and awesome. So I made this and he did the voiceover. Honored to make him happy that day.

Join forces with Rahafidz, Ali, Faie and the crew from MSPost in Kelantan to shoot their great football team as part of Astro Arena's Malaysian Soccer League image campaign. Taking cue from the team's ardent fans and enthusiastic players, I cut it to honor this loyalty towards the team. Most of them agreed that this is one of the best promo of the series.

Made for a friend who's starting his own clothing brand. I offered to direct & edited this, his first promotional video for his line of jeans. Hazmil Japilus videographed the whole thing for free (thanks bro!)

Made for a local band Velvet. Shot by Zul Pikie with me occasionally handling the camera. Shot in 1 day and edited like months after that!
I just couldn't find the time. It's the band's first music video and been an honor to work with such great talents.

Made supposedly to advertise the beach-cleaning program until suddenly Sabah we're invaded the Sulu militants. The whole event was cancelled shortly after and this promo never gets on-air. Invested so much in animating the cartoon elements. Damn terrorist!

This on only available in SD. Shot by the Astro Arena team. The water-color splashes looks similar to Astro's World Cup campaign graphics but this promo came out first. Oh well.. probably it's just the trend.
